First time to Phnom Penh - Ok here is what you need to know.
Visa Requirements:
Tourist Visa: Available on arrival at the airport or you can apply online for an e-Visa. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your entry date.
Documents: Have a passport-sized photo and cash (USD) ready for visa fees.
Go with the evisa , it only takes a day and is super easy. Plus you don't get your passport stamped. Or need to bring photos.
If you forget photos and need a visa on arrival, don't worry. Will just take and extra 15 mins.
Currency:
Cambodian Riel (KHR) and US Dollar (USD): Both currencies are used interchangeably. Ensure you have small denominations for local transactions.
Arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport Transportation to the City:
Taxis: Official taxis are available outside the terminal. Expect to pay around $12-15 USD to get to the city center.
Ride-Hailing Apps: Grab and PassApp are popular options for safe and convenient transport.
Airport Shuttle: Some hotels offer airport shuttle services, so check with your accommodation in advance.

Use Grab or Passapp. Same as Uber and you can pay by card or cash. Super easy , safe and cheap.

Petty Theft: Be cautious with your belongings, especially in crowded areas and at night.
Traffic: Exercise caution when crossing streets. Traffic can be chaotic.
Health Tips:
Water: Drink bottled or filtered water. Avoid ice in drinks unless you are sure it's from purified water. (Good Bars and Restraurants)
Food: Enjoy street food but ensure it's freshly cooked and served hot to avoid foodborne illnesses.
Communication
SIM Cards and Internet:Local SIM Cards: Available at the airport or in the city. Providers include Smart, Metfone, and Cellcard.
